Mother's Day Countdown Day 1: GIVEAWAY!!!

I thought it would be fun to do a little countdown here on the blog as we get close to Mother's Day. Today I'm kicking off a week long series comprised of all things MOM including inspiration, trivia, funnies, a giveaway and the like.

Did I just say giveaway? I did! I did!

Yes! Let's kick it off with a giveaway! And just look at what you could win!!!! An 18" silver chain necklace with a 2.25" cross pendant amongst a beaded trio of black hematite, angle-cut clear acrylic and translucent pearls. Designed by {k}studio124 for some lucky lady out there!

To win, all you have to do is leave a sweet comment on this post about your mom by midnight CDT on Saturday, May 1, and I'll do a random drawing on Sunday, May 2 to select the winner. Be sure and leave your email address along with your comment so I can contact you when you win!

I will announce the winner here on the blog, one week from today. That's exactly one week before Mother's Day. That's in plenty of time for me to ship it to you if you plan to give it as a gift. (Or enough time to enjoy it before Mother's Day if you plan to keep it as a little gift to yourself!)

Be sure and check the shop all week for new product (including coordinating earrings for the giveaway)...and check back here on the blog every day this week for more mom-related fun!!

  1. Okay Miss K!

That is one gorgeous piece of jewlery.. and I want it! LOL. I am also gonna blog about it...

My comment about my Mom is that she always thinking of others.. my whole life, I can remember her buying Christmas gifts for every one of her staff. SHe went on a cruise vacation with my Dad, and she brought a souvenier for each staff member. She is a giver, of her time, and her gifts, like no one else I have ever seen, I hope I received a bit of that gift, cause in that sense, I want to be like her!

You know my email... except that I have not heard from you in a while :)

  3. My mom was my hero and inspiration : )
Caring for her in the final years of her dementia plagued mind were the most bitter sweet years of my life.

  4. My mom, what can I say? I don't have a single memory of my childhood that doesn't include her. I was always happiest when I was around or with her. She has always been a constant in my life and one of the greatest people I know. She is beautiful, inside and out. Yet, best of all...she loves the Lord. She does her best to live a Godly-life. I am absolutely THANKFUL for having her as my mom and believe with my whole heart, that GOD really knew what he was doing when he put us together. She is INCREDIBLE!!!!!

  5. My Mom, my gift from God.. The older I get the more I realize how truly amazing she is. If all my Mom ever did was pray for me I would be blessed. She has far exceeded that in her display of motherly love. She has showed me that we as mother's do the very best we can with what we have when we seek our Heavenly Father for guidance and strength... Carissa

  6. This necklace is gorgeous!!

My mom filled my childhood with faith and love, and prayed for all of us every single day. I think that's why all of her children are believers. :) She was supportive and encouraging, and just the best mom in the world! :)

  7. The best thing about my Mom is her sense of humor....she has been able to laugh about life..even when we all wanted to cry. She had a difficult time raising her 6 children yet when she smiled and laughed we knew everything would be alright. She is now in her later years, but she has not lost her sense of humor!

  9. My momma! I love her! My mom has never met a stranger! She is a friend to every one. She is so thoughtful about other peoples needs and feelings. She has such a generous heart to love and help others. She has taught me that laughter is the best medicine. Even when struggling thru breast cancer and many other phyisical challenges, she can always find the silver lining and manage to laugh. And did I mention my wonderful mother in law?? I was double blessed when I married my husband to gain such a jewel in my mother in law. She is so devoted to her family, friends and her God. I'm blessed to have two wonderful examples to follow as I grow up in my motherhood:) Mom's rock!!

  10. My mom was a great friend. Everyone who knew her said so. She passed away when I was only 19, so I missed out on the mother-daughter friendship years. She's been gone for 20 years, and I still miss her every day. No one loves you like your mom does! I hope to love my kids as well as she loved me.

  11. I consider my mother-in-law mom. She has done way to many things for me and my family for her to just be considered mother-in-law. In late December, my husband had shoulder surgery and shortly after that I was placed on bedrest for my pregnancy. My mother-in-law dropped everything in her life and moved into our home to take care of all of us (we have a 2 year old little girl). She stayed with us for 6 weeks until my baby was born. I do not know what we would have done with out her. I do not have a close relationship with my mother so I feel so blessed to have the relationship with my mother-in-law that I do.

  12. I appreciate my Mom. She has always been so helpful not just to me but to anyone that she thinks is in need. I'm doing my best to cherish the remaining years and I pray often that God would help me to honor her and be a blessing to her.
